Trying to transfer from old blog to new blog

  I’m trying to export my files from littlehouseonthegreatflats.wordpress.com to my new blog that I purchased a domain for. I exported the file, then imported per the directions. I also got an email saying my import was complete. But when I go to my new domain, I don’t see any import. Is there another step I’m missing to see my old posts and photos at my new blog?

  What is the Domain name beginning with http you are importing into?

  Is it another WordPress.COM hosted site or is it a self hosted site?

  If the site is self hosted then you should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

  I’m importing into crunchychelle.com. It’s a .COM hosted site, not a self hosted site.

  Sometimes the “Import complete” email is a bit early and the importer is still crunching away.

  You did not say how big the import was, but if things have not shown up in a couple of hours then contact support and explain things completely (from to etc): http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  Thanks Mike. I was wondering about that. I have a lot of files and I thought it was complete rather early. I will do what you suggest if it’s not imported by the morning.
