Trying to transfer my domain

  I’m trying to transfer anchorcaters.com to be hosted with blue host, so that I can use wordpress.org to create our site. I’m not sure what I need to do on the wordpress.com end to ensure that happens, since it is outside the renewal period.

  Hi there,

  Your domain anchorcaters.com has been expired for over 40 days. It can still be renewed and then transferred if you’d like, however it will be subject to an additional redemption fee (which is charged by the domain registry) on top of the renewal fee of $80. If you are interested in paying that, let me know and I can send you a link.

  Otherwise, the cancellation process is about halfway done. In another 30 to 40 days your domain will be released to the general public at which point it can be re-purchased. Please note that it can be purchased by anyone who wants the domain, so the only guaranteed way to retrieve your domain is via the redemption process I mentioned above.
