Trying to understand where my traffic is coming from – puzzling stats

Hi… Trying to make sense of the differing numbers of my stats.
For example, yesterday there were 221 visits to the blog, (yes, it’s lame) . I have a post that got 137 visits. My total referrals for yesterday were 81. There were 3 “search engine term” visits.
Should I interpret these numbers to mean:
– the search engines sent barely any traffic at all
– 2/3rds of my traffic were from people who typed my blog URL directly into my browser,
– and at least 56 people (137-81) typed my top post’s URL directly, possibly more
This last fact is particularly puzzling. The URL is: http://blog.aparicio.org/2010/01/27/cto/ . It just seems impossible that people would type that without knowing it.
Can somebody explain what I’m missing?

P.S. Click the categories and links on your posts and you will find they take you to the wordpress.com global tagging pages. It could be that your are getting visitors from there. In addition if you have not disabled the “Possibly related posts” >Appearance > Extras you could be getting traffic from there as well. Another possible source of traffic is click thorough from the Links in articles written by others who have blogged and included backlinks to your posts and/or clicks on links from those who have added you blog to their Blogroll (Links).
If you want to install 3rd party visitor tracking there are several choices you can make that I have reviewed.
