Trying to understand why my site is down–hosting issues?

I have been working very hard over the last few days building a site. http://www.artinkc.com. It hasn’t been easy for me as I am a newbie, and I was pretty pleased with the results…until I tried to access it this morning and it is down. As I have been troubleshooting, I have realized that I need to know more about how sites are hosted, contacting the host, etc. If there are any kind souls out there willing to help, please let me know and I will provide more details.

This forum is for sites hosted on WordPress.com, so we’re not able to troubleshoot hosting issues for sites hosted elsewhere very easily since we can’t see the behind-the-scenes details.
I checked out your domain’s public info and saw it’s hosted with DreamHost, so I’d recommend checking with them. They have a support page here that a good place to start: https://www.dreamhost.com/support/
