Trying to up load a theme forest template and i get bloked

  So i’ve tried to up load a Theme forest theme but i’ve been hit with -The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini. – i currently have a free wordpress version does this mean i need to subscribe to a premium account ?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No level of upgrade on WordPress.com will permit you to upload an outside, 3rd party theme. The only themes we can use on WordPress.com are the ones found here, both free and premium: http://wordpress.com/themes/

  If you are referring to the above website teddingtonfamilies.co.uk, it doesn’t appear to be hosted here on WordPress.com.

  Just to clarify, WordPress.com and WordPress are entirely separate. If you need help with a standalone install of the WP software, you need to post over at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username account there, you’ll need to register one.

  I’m so confused. What is the difference between WordPress and WordPress.com? Theme forest supplies themes for word press how do I ho about using them ? Please help. Thank you. I am trying to link my teddingtonfamilies to word press but struggling.

  Themeforest sells WP themes that can be used with the standalone version of the WP software.

  Depending on what your needs are, you can either host a site for free on WordPress.com or purchase webhosting and use the standalone WP software. Please read the Support doc about the differences between WordPress and WordPress.com and it will become clearer to you.
