Trying to update email address but can't

    Hi, Im no longer using my old email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) and tried to update it to my new address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). However, an email to confirm this change was likely sent to the earthlink address which I no longer have access to. How does one update their email and get the confirmation email if they can’t access the old email account? Can you please contact me at my current email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) or text to my cell (redacted) which has not changed for over a decade. My cell number should be on my wordpress blog so you can verify it is still the same person who is editing settings as who wrote the blog. Thanks. Date today is 10-5-2020

    Hi @cevange, the email confirmation goes to the new address. Then we also send a note to the old address notifying of the change.

    Then only trouble you might run into, is that the address you’ve listed is already associated with another account.

    Do you want to simply transfer this account’s site to the other username?
