Trying to update website
-
For some reason, I haven’t been able to update our neighborhood website for the last couple of weeks – not sure what’s going on.
Now, I am able to log into WordPress but it says that no website has been created. Very weird… -
Are you logged into the right account? What is the address of the site in question? That is the most important detail for assistance.

I must be on the wrong account, I guess.
But then I don’t know how to get onto the right one.Until recently, I could just edit the website by clicking “EDIT” when on the website. The password was obviously saved on my computer, and that click used to take me right to WordPress, where I could edit our website.
Since the EDIT button has now disappeared, I tried to access the website by going to the WordPress site and logging on there. Not remembering the password, I reset it. I can now log on but, like I said, there is no website.
Any thoughts on what I do next? It seems to be impossible to get a live person from WordPress on the phone :-(

WordPress.com doesn’t have phone support. If you have a paid plan you can reach staff by email and Live chat. If you have a free site this is where you get support. But…….
What is the address of the site in question? That is the most important detail for assistance.

Hi there,
Your site southpointridge.com is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the open-source WordPress software and it is hosted by GoDaddy. Therefore, you need to contact them regarding your issue.
You can also try resetting the password by following these instructions:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us. For help with your site you need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
