trying to upgrade

Because I am in Thailand, the currency used to pay for the upgrade shows up as Baht. But I want to pay in dollars and cannot see how to change that. Even as I am adding information for the US, the charge still remains in Baht. I am in the checkout page and cannot go any further. Thanks for the assistance.

Actually there is one additional thing. I think in the payment process, I inadvertently used autofill and the email address I want to use got switched from aree8810 to aree5121. It’s (email visible only to moderators and staff) that I wish to use for this account. Do you change that or can I do it through my profile? I will not have time today to do much with the WP account.
If I could give a little feedback.
Since I first signed up, less than 2 days ago, I have received 15 emails from WordPress. I can imagine the marketing reasons for this, but it is way too much. I almost quit WP, before I really got started, because there was such a barrage of emails. Not only was there pressure to spend money and take action ~ on Thanksgiving weekend when WP knows people are busy ~ the emails said to do this and that and each took me to a different page and the pages didn’t connect with one another and it was confusing and frustrating. So this beginning has not been smooth. I hope things settle in and I’ve not placed myself on a WordPress hamster wheel as I am not a hamster.

The reason that email address is unavailable is because it was used to create a second WordPress.com account approximately 4 days ago. Is it possible you created more than one account by mistake?
The only way to use that email address for this account is to log in to your other account (the one using the address currently) and change it to something else. That will “free up” your preferred email address for use with this account instead.

I do not see that we sent that many emails to your @erinpalmer9946 account. Possibly you are seeing the combined number of emails you have from the two accounts you created? WE do send a few more emails than normal when you are first setting up a new account, but definitely not 15 emails.
If you have multiple addresses forwarding to a single inbox, you may see a combined number that is that high if you have set up more than one account with us.
