Trying to Upgrade – Won't accept payment need USD

Hello.
I am trying to upgrade two sites so that we can get google analytics (a free tool we are choosing to pay about 500 bucks a year for)
The sites are managed and run overseas but I am located in the US and using a credit card with a U.S. address.
How can I purchase upgrades for my two sites? Please note I would like to upgrade both sites in my account.

So, the account you are posting from is not the account that currently owns the upgrades for those sites.
I am suspicious that may be part of the issue. Can you log in with the other account and try the purchase?

I looked for a solution when I first ran into this issue and came across another message in the forum where a user had a similar problem and it was the language or country settings that had been set up with the sites when they were created. I believe the issue actually has something to do with that – the price is being listed in euros but I am trying to pay in USD.
This entire process has been far from straightforward. It would be great if someone could contact me directly and offer assistance rather than through public forums.
I will try to see if I can figure out what you are suggesting, and I do appreciate your assistance – this has just been more complicated than I expected.

Are you attempting to take advantage of an “Upgrade to WP.com Business” email you received? Or just purchase a whole new upgrade to business in addition to the already existing Premium?
If the former, you will almost assuredly need to be logged in with the user that owns the existing upgrade. Only upgrade owners can do things like cancel/renew/upgrade their existing upgrades. If it is the latter, then there may be a currency mixup. Though to be honest, I do not see one. The account you are posting from is already set to USD.

However, going there with the account you currently are posting from will just loop you back to the forums because you are not the upgrade owner.

No, I have not received any promotional business emails – I am literally trying to get Google Analytics on both of these sites. That is all I want.
I’ve just recently started managing these sites and so I am using the only credentials I have been given and/or that I am aware of.
It sounds like one of these sites already has purchased an upgrade? It’s all unbelievably unclear.
I am logged in with the only log in that I have and I am able to manage both sites, view stats, etc., using these credentials?
Thanks for your help. I’ll attempt to find a different login somehow.

Also, I see that you are using an “editor” account to try and do admin type actions (purchasing upgrades). That is likely to cause some issues as well.

Mystery solved! Gosh, I’m so sorry I feel like an idiot.
I still the price in euros but I am hoping it will be much easier to troubleshoot now that I have the appropriate permissions… :)
