trying to use domain i purchased from godaddy??

  how do i use a domain i purchased through godaddy??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  In order to use a domain you purchased with another host with your WordPress.com blog, you must add domain mapping to your WordPress.com site.

  You must also change your nameservers and point them over to WordPress.com as well.

  so when i started the process i chose to map the site?? and wordpress charged me $13, i gave my card info and it still shows up as a dotcom???

  Hey there,

  The reason why you see the dotcom on your blog URL is because you entered maikatalks.com into the domain field when you were creating the address. Leave the .com out of the field and enter maikatalks – you should get your desired results: maikatalks.wordpress.com to go along side your custom domain, maikatalks.com.

  this all seems too difficult for me right now??? i thought this was going to be a lot smoother??? i need to cancel my 13$ fee and start from scratch. Could you tell me how to do that???

  Is the domain you created with GoDaddy .org? You will need to map the exact same domain to WordPress.com that you registered with GoDaddy.

  Are you wanting to create maikatalks.wordpress.com and map the domain from GoDaddy maikatalks.com to it? If so, I can assist you with that.
