trying to use 'reserved site'
-
I am trying to create a blog for a research center in Portugal, using its well-known acronym as a free domain name, but WordPress tells me said name it’s ‘reserved’. The name is not a word (so definitely not an offensive word) in either Portuguese or English, or a famous brand name as far as I know, so I don’t know exactly why it would be reserved. Is there any way I can use it? Thanks!

What is the URL of that site starting with http://?
When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
If and only if you have registered the matching username account log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies. Then log in under the correct username account and as the blog is reserved for you and you will register it after logging in under the correct username account.
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1However, if you changed your username then the blog URL will not be available for use under the new username account.

If you have a matching username account you can register it. Otherwise, you can register another .wordpress.com URL.

Hi!
Thanks for the quick response.
The site would be: http://clup.wordpress.comUnfortunately, I do not have a matching username account, so I guess I will be unable to use it, correct?
