  Trying transfer my blog from one wordpress site to another but it comes as a zip document not WXR and I don’t know how to make it WXR

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @myjigsawmind,

  Content on WordPress.com can be moved by using Export and import services. The files are exported in .zip format and then unzipped to .xml format while importing.

  If you could share the correct URL’s and platforms of the sites you are trying to move your content –– we could then help you better with it.

  Hi there,
  I think I am ok and don’t need to move my content. I have downgraded from bluehost Plus which I didn’t realise I had to basic free wordpress plan.
  It looks like all three blogs I wrote are still ok. All I need to find out now is whether I can have sub domains or if I need to stick to the one site ( I had three when bluehosted). I have third subdomain, myjigsawmindblog.wordpress.com where I hoped to move my content if things didn’t work out.

  You could provide each link and details of what are you trying to achieve. You mention about Bluehost(Self Hosted Websites) and also about myjigsawmindblog.wordpress.com(WordPresss.com hosted) one. If you can explain the details, we can look into the options to help you further.
