  this is my first time working with wordpress. i have created many websites using squarespace. i would like to practice first before starting building my website. is there a way to do that?

  You can definitely test your way around with WordPress. Creating a site on WordPress.com is free and you can delete it again any time you like, so that’s perfect for practicing things.

  If you don’t want your practice site to be visible to anyone, you can make it hidden in the privacy settings.
