Tumblr import

  I hit the ‘Clear Account Information’ button and all the ‘Import this blog’ buttons are now available – none are a loading circle. But when I press one to start importing, I keep getting the ‘You can only have one running import at a time. Please wait for the current one to complete.’ alert. I’ve reloaded the page and opened a new page – what other actions can I take?

  Hi there,

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

  Thank you very much! I got a little trigger-happy when I realized I’d started importing the wrong blog – I’ll check back in in 24 hours! And thank you for this service, it’s obviously in heavy demand.

  Our importer is a little overwhelmed at the moment, but we’re keeping an eye on things to make sure the imports keep going through. It will just take a while.

  Hi again – been a bit over 24 hours now and checking in – the tab keeps reloading which at first wasn’t a problem but now it says it’s in the process of importing a blog that I didn’t ask it to; it’s the first in the queue of my blogs but previously when the tab reset it would say it was still in progress of my second one. I left it alone for quite a while so I’m not sure what caused it to switch over.

  Addendum: It is successfully being backed up so I’m tempted to leave it for now

  Hi there,

  I’ve double checked to confirm your import is indeed still queued and it’s going to start soon. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it. And please be patient and keep your connection from Tumblr. Do not try to cancel your import and please give it another 24 hours to complete.
