  I am still experiencing a slow import and it has been 24 hours

  Hi airiustide13,

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

  I see you submitted this message on another thread.

  I also keep getting logged off while it is importing. is there a reason why?

  Given that this is about the same import process, I have closed that thread as a duplicate, and I shall reply here.

  When you say you get logged off, do you mean that you are logged out of your WordPress.com account, while the import is ongoing?

  If that seems to happen, that is unexpected and is unrelated to this import process. Also, it is okay to log off your WordPress.com account and the importer should work.

  Hi there,

  I’ve double checked to confirm your import is indeed still queued and it’s going to start soon. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it. And please be patient and keep your connection from Tumblr. Do not try to cancel your import.

  We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue.

  At this point we’re unable to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though – it’s taking longer than anticipated, but the importer is running and will hopefully get to your site soon.
