Tumblr Import

I started to attempt to import my tumblr late Wednesday night I believe, and I wasn’t able to check it last night. However, when I checked it just now, it still says 0 / 32073 posts imported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
There are hundreds of people trying to import from Tumblr at the same time. Have you read this sticky post https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/tumblr-imports/ at the top of the support forums? This thread for Staff support for you as specified in that sticky post. Please be patient while waiting and do not create duplicate threads on this issue.

The sticky at the top of this page has been amended today. The original 24 hours wait message has been crossed out and it now says:
At this point we are unable to provide an estimate on how long it might take for queued imports to complete. Our importer is processing thousands of posts a minute, but the backlog is very big so please be patient – it might be a few days before your import will start once it’s queued.

TT Perhaps the modlook tag isn’t needed unless the OP is sure their import has started then stalled.

I tire of the endless “caching issues” I get. Is it because I’m in Nottingham and the trees block the signal? Doesn’t seem to be a problem in Canada though…

I did read the post, yes. The only reason I am concerned is because it’s been so long and so far NONE of the posts have been imported, at least according to the import page. I was concerned that it was stalled or that there was some other issue I needed to fix.

As long as you don’t disconnect your Tumblr account eventually you’ll get to the front of the queue and the import will start. There are hundreds of sites in the queue, some with large amounts of content. Please be patient and add a modlook tag for staff here if nothing happens in the next 48 hours.

I’ve double checked to confirm your import is indeed still queued and it’s going to start soon. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it. And please be patient and keep your connection from Tumblr. Do not try to cancel your import.
We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue.
At this point we’re unable to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though – it’s taking longer than anticipated, but the importer is running and will hopefully get to your site soon.
