Tumblr Import

  Hi there! I was working to Import my existing Tumblr blog to my new WordPress site and was having some issues. The first time round after connecting the importer to my Tumblr account, I left it to run overnight but found that after 9 hours it was still showing no entries imported on the blog I select. I found online that it was suggested I disconnect and reconnect the importer, so did that and tried to restart the import of my main blog, but this time encountered the error ‘You can only have one running import at a time’, even though it was no longer showing an Import in progress and nothing had been imported so far. Is there a way to have the importer reset so I can try again? And is there a reason why the import may have stalled out the first time? Thanks!

  Ahh, thanks for linking that post, sorry I didn’t see it sooner! I’ll leave the import alone now while waiting for the staff reply.

  Hi Robin –

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.
