Tumblr Import

Every time I disconnect and try and connect a new tumblr account even when I allow it through my new account it just shows the old urls I previously connected, like it doesn’t properly disconnect from them

Which site are you trying to import into?

But I remember trying to do it with my primary awhile ago but gave up because I had the same issue

Hm, I don’t see any active imports there either, so I have fully reset your importer. Please try again and let us know how that goes!

Nope, just tried again still the wrong urls even though I asked permission from another account without the urls even being on the new account

I don’t understand how I’m requesting to import from one account and when it loads it comes up with links that account isn’t even connected to

Are you sure you’re logged into Tumblr.com with an account that has administrator access to the site you want to import?

Yes it’s a completely different email to log in, I’ve even logged in and out and made sure multiple times

Ok, so somehow the system is still seeing you as the wrong Tumblr account, which doesn’t make much sense since we don’t even get to the account’s data without going through Tumblr’s authorization step.
In other words, the only way this would be technically happening is if you were logged into the wrong Tumblr account, or if Tumblr’s login cookie in your browser is somehow incorrect.
Try this in a private browsing window, so no existing cookies are getting in the way. First, log into WordPress.com, then log into the correct Tumblr account.
Once you have confirmed that you’re logged into both correct accounts in a private browsing window, start the importer.

None of the urls are the same on each account that’s how I know it’s connected to the previous/wrong account somehow

Yeah I removed the authorisation on the other account and it still connected to it, I’ll try in a private window on my laptop, currently it’s been on chrome browser on my iPad trying with the tumblr app

Since the Tumblr authorization cookie needs to be set in the importing browser, this will not work if you use the Tumblr app.
