Tumblr import, custom domain hickup
-
Hi!
I’ve decided to move my Tumblr blog to WordPress. I used to have a custom domain, but in order to import it into WordPress it has been disabled. However, wordpress importer still thinks it’s using the custom domain. So now im stuck with the old domain name that’s pointing nowhere, and not going forward until this is resolved.
I’ve read many support tickets (like clearing-site-cache, tumblr-import-custom-domain-issue, tumblr-import-keeps-telling-me-that-site-uses-custom-domain), all of them hinting you can do something serverside.
Of course i have disconnected the WordPress app on Tumblr several times, also used all of the browsers I’ve got installed (three), used Incognito/InPrivate-mode. Even did try the Chrome-browser in my phone 🙃
Can you please help?
I’m disconnecting everything now awaiting your response. Since my blog is a family blog, i’d rather not post links in a public forum. No problem if it’s required though.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
So, just to confirm, you are following these instructions, correct?
https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-tumblr/I understand that you disable the custom domain, and when connecting your Tumblr account to WordPress.com, you still see the custom domain in the importer, is that right?

Correct, it looks just like https://en-blog.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/tumblr-importer-blog-list.png?w=688

Hi there,
I’ve made an adjustement on our end, can you clear your browser’s cache and try one more time?

Also, go to the Apps section in your Tumblr settings and remove WordPress from there:
