Tumblr Import keeps getting stuck at 80/1161 blog posts imported.

    Hi, I have a paid personal WordPress account with a custom domain (https://rickt.org). I am using the Tumblr Import feature within Tools and it keeps getting stuck at exactly 80 posts imported.

    I have tried clearing the auth and trying again, multiple times, and the same thing happens. I’ve also tried logging out and removing the Tumblr API connection and the same thing always happens.

    Is there a limit in the number of blog posts that can be imported?

    FYI, I have a few other blogs under my Tumblr account and I was able to successfully import with no errors or “getting stuck” from those other blogs.

    It is just my main Tumblr blog with 1161 posts that is getting stuck.

    Please let me know how I should proceed.

    Your website is hosted by Google Domains, rather than WordPress.com.

    Hi Rick,

    I see you purchased the Personal plan which includes domain mapping for rickt.org, so you are in the right place for support. This domain isn’t pointing to WordPress.com yet and pointing the name servers here is the final step in that process:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#2-point-your-domain-to-us

    This change can be made through your account with Google and may take up to 48 hours to take effect — during which time, the domain may not behave as expected.

    I am using the Tumblr Import feature within Tools and it keeps getting stuck at exactly 80 posts imported.

    There is a Tumblr import currently in progress on ricktdotorg.wordpress.com. It was started a few hours ago so I recommend giving it a little longer — larger imports can take some time but generally shouldn’t be longer than 24 hours.

    When you say the import is getting stuck, are any error messages popping up on your end?
