Tumblr Import not connecting – outdated API?

  Is anyone else having trouble with importing their Tumblr blog posts to WordPress.com?

  I contacted Tumblr Support on this issue and they said they have a brand new API as of September 2012. It appears that WordPress can no longer connect successfully to the Tumblr API without some kind of update.

  Tumblr has broken the way we had previously done the import, so for now we have removed the importer.

  We’ll have a new importer up, ready for Tumblr’s new API, as soon as possible.

  I think this issue has reappeared. My import function (that’s been working well for years) has stopped connecting to Tumblr about a week ago…
