Tumblr import not working

I went through the steps to import my Tumblr blog to WordPress, but it got stuck transferring my posts and just stayed at 0. I hit ‘Clear Account Information’ to reset it, but when I tried running it again it said ‘You can only have one running import at a time. Please wait for the current one to complete.’ Tried refreshing the page, going back to my home page, and logging out and back in again. Not sure what to do from here.

I’ve double checked to confirm your import is still queued. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.
We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. Please give it another 24 hours, and if it hasn’t completed by then, update us here.

Thanks for the response! I definitely empathize with the Tumblr tsunami. Hope you guys aren’t totally overrun.
I ended up logging off for a day or so and coming back on. It’s still giving me the same trouble even though I am connected to Tumblr. Should I keep the importer up and active for the whole 24 hours? -
Hi there,
Your import is still queued and will start soon. But at this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.
