Tumblr import questions

–though not the ones most people have had, I think. I killed my import because it was barely a quarter of the way through my main blog when I got the email notification that I’d hit my media cap. Obviously posts without the pictures or videos or audio that they had originally aren’t useful to me, so I disconnected from Tumblr and have been trashing most of the imported posts so I can begin again in a more organized fashion. But when I reconnect to Tumblr from WP it acts like the import is still running, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to make it stop. Right now I’d just like for it to import pages rather than posts, assuming that means what I think it means, but yeah, how do I make it actually stop importing, and is there a way to selectively import?

Hi there, you’ll need Staff to reset the importer for you so I’ve tagged this thread for their attention.
There is still some backlog on tumblr imports but you can find the latest information in the sticky thread at the top of our forums. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/tumblr-imports/

Hi there,
It appears the Tumblr import on your site has failed, so I’ve reset the importer so you can try again.
If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re still experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted, but it could be a few days before your new import is processed.
If some posts have already imported they will be skipped by the importer during your next attempt, so they should not be duplicated.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I saw Tumblr imports have been clogging the system, I’m sure the servers are ready to combust. Hopefully things will smooth out soon.
