Tumblr Import Stalled

I need an import reset. I tried doing this myself, but instead it keeps acting like I never cancelled the original import.
Also, does doing an import delete the posts from Tumblr?

I’ve double checked to confirm your import is indeed still running. It didn’t cancel and is not stalled either.
We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. Please allow this to run for the next 24 hours, and if it hasn’t completed by then, update us here.
When you import from Tumblr to WordPress.com, your posts on Tumblr would continue to remain online. WordPress.com will not be able to delete these on your behalf, as a part of the import process.
You will have to login into your Tumblr account to delete them, or you can reach out to their customer support to understand how that works.

Thanks! I have one more question. If I want to import every so often to keep my WordPress site as current as my Tumblr, can I do that? Or every time I import it reimports every post all over again. So I’ll end up with doubles of posts that are already imported?

Sorry one more follow-up. Can I import more than one blog? I tried doing this just and could not figure out how.

Hi there,
You can re-import the same Tumblr again if you add new content there – posts already on your WordPress.com site will be skipped by the importer, so there shouldn’t be any duplication.
You can import more than one blog, yes, but not at the same time.

So I tried disconnecting from the current Tumblr and connecting to a different Tumblr to re-import a different blog and that did not work. The only thing that showed up was the first Tumblr I imported from. What might be causing this issue?

Are these Tumblrs in different accounts on that end? Did you log out of the first account on Tumblr and log into the second before trying to reconnect?

Correct and everytime I log into the second account, I get the right screen for allow access, etc. but then I go back to the import page, and it’s still showing the first account.

@virtchandmoir, then I recommend using an Incognito Browser window. You can get one via shift+command+N — log into Tumblr with one tab (using the correct account) and into this WordPress.com account with the other.
Once you’ve started the import, you can close the window.
