Tumblr Import Still Going Now Over 50+ Hours

    I was told to check back in if my tumblr still had not been imported. I’ve left it running and nothing has happened still.

    Personally, I don’t think it will EVER work, despite what WordPress say because there are MILLIONS of people doing exactly what you’re doing and WP simply can’t cope. The ONLY thing you can do is manually upload your work. The WP import tool WILL NEVER WORK. You only have 9 days left before your Tumblr blog explodes or whatever happens to it. If you were the first person to import, then it might have worked. Everyone who’s now in a queue can now just forget about it. If I upload 100 posts a DAY, then I just might be able to move all of my posts over in time. That’s what happens when EVERYONE IN THE WORLD is given LESS THAN 2 weeks to move to the ONLY FREE SITE that’s available. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but WP are NEVER going to tell you the truth. Good luck.

    If you read the threads, it takes about 3-4 days.
    If you’re just going to complain go to PornHub. They have an import system too.
    Bearer of bad news? More like throwing a tantrum like the president.

    @servicingmarriedmen     I appreciate that the delay can be frustrating, but I wish to assure you that’s simply incorrect; a quick look at forum threads from a few days ago will show you that there have been loads of blogs which have successfully completed imports. The import process will work with a few exceptions, but you just need to be patient.

    It looks like the import on your site has completed – some content has been imported, and no import is currently running.

    If you’re still missing posts, please restart the import now – posts already on your WordPress.com site will be skipped by the importer. It might take a while to complete, though, as we’re still seeing a lot of new Tumblr imports being created so there’s still a backlog. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.
