Tumblr import stuck

Hi, this has happened before, I’m trying to import my tumblr blog since last week but it won’t complete. “You can only have one running import at a time. Please wait for the current one to complete. If you need any further assistance please contact support.”

Could someone from the team fix the issue?

Thanks for the reply, but now it’s just buffering for 10 minutes. The import usually just takes seconds. So the problem is still there, since nothing is being imported.

I see content on http://thekpopgossip.wordpress.com/. I take it you are migrating your Tumblr site content to that WordPress.com site? Did everything migrate over successfully? If not, I have reset the importer on our end, so you can attempt the transfer again. Let me know if you continue to have trouble with the import.

I had a look at the importer state, and it seems that the job was finished. Can you check now and let me know if the content was imported?

Actually, scratch that. I think what you’re experiencing is related to a bug with the Tumblr Importer. We’ve reported it to our developers, but fixing this may take a while. We’ll keep you updated here.

Thanks for the update. We have had other site owners report that there is an issue with Tumblr imports and our dev team is taking a look. We do not have an estimate on when they will be fixed since we are still waiting to hear back from their investigation. As soon as we have any more info we will update you here. Hey there, we reported it about one month ago, and while I can see it’s got some chatter, it’s not solved yet.

You mentioned it’s worked before and stopped working now… can you share more about why you’re regularly importing from Tumblr? Maybe we can find another way to accomplish what you’re looking for there.

I do know for a while it was a thing to “back up” a Tumblr blog to WordPress.com, just in case, but we own Tumblr.

Hi, the blog was meant as back-up a few years ago, but then I started to get followers here and wanted to update the wordpressblog every week with the import function.
