Tumblr import stuck – please help

  Hi! I’ve started importing my main blog from Tumblr but the import has gotten stuck. Could someone from the team help fix the issue?Thank you!

  Thank you! I’ve restarted the import and hopefully the process goes smoothly!

  I would like to import multiple blogs from Tumblr to my site but I’m wondering if there is a way I can keep them separate from each other? Thanks!

  Hi there,

  You can run multiple imports to the same site, but they will not be separate, as you may already know. You can perhaps try this:

  1. After you import one set of posts from a Tumblr blog, bulk-edit them and add a special tag or category.
  2. Then, you import another set of posts from another Tumblr blog, and choose those posts, bulk-edit them to add another tag or category.

  By the end of this, you’ll have multiple unique tags or categories that will tie the blog posts from each Tumblr blog. You can display those posts on a page using the Query Loop block, which lets you filter posts based on tags or categories.

  If you have hundreds of posts imported from each Tumblr blog, it’ll take you some time to do this. But this is the only option I can think of. Do you have an estimate as to the number of posts that will be imported?

  Ah I see – both the two main blogs I’m importing have a lot of posts so I’ve just decided to import them together, thank you!

  The import on the last tumblr blog I’m importing is almost finished but it seems stuck again, I’m wondering if it’s an importer issue or if it’s because I’ve used up all of my storage? If it’s a storage issue can I purchase a few more GB with an add-on? thank you!
