Tumblr Importer says I have an import running, when I don’t

    So Tumblr is about to die, and I figured I’d try to back up some blogs on WordPress. I began importing one yesterday, but after hours of no progress (just the spinning wheel icon) I decided to cancel the import. I was a bit impatient, and maybe it’s just supposed to take that long, but regardless I tried to import another blog after cancelling the first import. But ever since, I’ve been getting this error message:

    ‘You can only have one running import at a time. Please wait for the current one to complete. If you need any further assistance please contact support.’

    But as far as I can see on the Importer page, I haven’t even had a single post imported to WordPress yet, and there are no spinning wheels on anything. But now I can’t import any blogs to WordPress at all. Am I missing something?

    If it helps, the first Tumblr blog I was trying to import has 600 posts and 40 drafts, literally all of them just text posts with 5 images at most scattered among them.

    Hi there,

    I’ve double checked to confirm your import is still queued. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.

    We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. Please give it another 24 hours, and if it hasn’t completed by then, update us here.
