Tumblr Importing

  Hi there!
  Due to Tumblr new policy, I’ve decided to move my blog on wordpress, since I saw it allows to import the profile from there.
  Unfortunately, it has been running since this morning but I can’t really see any change (I’ve about 350 posts, most of them with pictures).
  I’ve also tried to cancel and start over but I get a message saying that I can only have one running import at a time – but on action/status there’s no ‘in progress’ (and it says 0 in pages, posts and draft imported).
  Is it normal that it takes so long? Can I keep using tumblr meanwhile?

  Hi there,

  I’ve double checked to confirm your import is still queued. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.

  We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. Please give it another 24 hours, and if it hasn’t completed by then, update us here.

  thank you so much for the answer.

  I didn’t disconnect the account, so I guess it’s just a matter of time :)
  I understand it might take a while, I just wanted to make sure that it is normal taking so long – I’ll give you an update tomorrow then :)

  Good morning –

  I’ve double checked, and the import is still queued up and waiting in line. It has not failed.

  Once the import starts, it should complete with in 24 hours. Normally, the input would start immediately. But, given the large number of Tumblr blogs importing to WordPress.com, we have a bit of a queue.
