Tumblr not importing

  I was notified to contact support if the tumblr upload is not working. I am assuming it is because of high traffic. Please do let me know what is going on at your convince.

  Hi reccasama,

  I’ve double checked to confirm your import is still queued. It didn’t cancel. But please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve disconnected it, as that could be preventing it from starting.

  We’re processing a large volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. At this point I’m not able to give an estimate on how long it might take to catch up with the backlog, though.

  Thanks for the update! Just two more question, I ran out of space during the upload and bought a premium account. First question will my “progress” continue or do I need to restart it? Secondly will the videos that did not upload while my account was free now be available, if there are not how do I make them avalible?

  It looks like the import on your site stopped at around 5000 posts, so if that’s not all your content, please restart. Posts already imported should be skipped.

  Secondly will the videos that did not upload while my account was free now be available, if there are not how do I make them avalible?

  I’m afraid I’m not sure. The importer was never designed for imports at the scale at which we’ve been running it for the past week, so we’re encountering a lot of scenarios that have simply never been tested before. Try running the import again, and if you’re still missing content once you’ve done that we can take a look at what’s possible from there.

  Please create your own thread at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 and include a link to your site, and we can help you there. Make sure to add the tags modlook and tumblr import to your thread so we don’t miss it.

  However, there’s no limit on the number of posts you can import. The only limit we have is on the amount of media files you can upload – 3GB for free sites. So if your Tumblr site has more image files than that, some content might not import. To import audio files you’ll need to be on our Personal Plan, and for Video on Premium.

  @reccasama, thanks for checking in. This did get stuck, so I’ve cleared it for you so you can try again. Everything you’ve already imported will be skipped, so it should pick up where it left off.
