I need to speak with someone about how to turn off auto-renew when I am not the original person who set up the account and apparently don’t have all managing privileges. How can I talk with a human being?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @kimberlysuhr!
I’ve added a modlook tag to this post, which will catch the staff’s attention.

You may need additional information to gain access or make changes to the account – proof of ownership. This may include things like transaction IDs or activation URLs (sent by email when site was created or subscription was billed) Check out this support doc for more info: Account Recovery

    Best of luck!

Hi @kimberlysuhr, we would need to hear from the upgrade owner. But do you or someone you can work with have access to the statements from previous charges? If so, you can gain access to the account using our account recovery form with a transaction ID:

    Recover Your Account

If you have a transaction ID but you are having trouble with the form, let us know and we’ll reach out privately so you can send it via email.

Could I please speak with a human being about this issue? In a month’s time, we will need to do a redirect to a newly built website, and I am concerned that I will not be able to do this because I am not the “owner” who set up the account. (That person has left the organization and subsequently passed away.) I can get in but only with limited access. I would really appreciate speaking with someone who can assure me that we will be able to make the change when the new website is ready. Thank you.

@testing111222444555 I can see you’re logged in as the correct owner now, so I’ve disabled auto renew for you. This account should have full access if you need to change anything here.

We’re all humans here, by the way. But these are the free forums meant for users who do not have any upgrades. If you’d like to reach private support, you can do so while logged into this account, via https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ … hoping that helps!
