If you want to disable commenting on posts and pages that you have already published, see this https://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-and-disable-comments-for-published-posts-and-pages/
If you want to disable commenting on images and photo Galleries that you have already published, you will have to edit each image and disable commenting in your site’s WP Admin>Media Library. For your above site, that would be https://35chronicle.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php Make sure your images are in List View by toggling the icon at the top of the column if needed.
