turn off comments on permalink?

  I am using a gallery of images, and when I click on an individual image in the gallery, it takes me to a page with that image, title of image, description. How do I turn off the comments capability on those pages?

  AFAIK, that is one of the many issues with the gallery. There seems to be no way to edit that page.
