Turn off Comments on posts page?
-
In Motif theme, is there a way to turn off the comments on the posts page? I see a big red “Leave A Comment” with a thought bubble just to the right of the “Edit” button. I don’t want anyone leaving comments on this page, if possible.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for replying! I tried it, unchecked the box and saved the change, but it didn’t take away the “leave a comment” box.

Hello there,
All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

AHA!!! Turns out I didn’t understand about the little arrows, and found a discussion box that had the check boxes hidden. It seems I will have to turn it off on each post, but that’s fine! Thank you!!
