turn OFF domain mapping

  I am ready to point my domain name to a new blog on my paid hosting account. But the domain mapping is keeping it pointed to wordpress.com Please tell me how to turn off / disable domain mapping. I refuse to wait another 6 months for it to expire.

  FYI the ability to change the nameservers is not an option. The picture in this article is not pertinent as the ns edit feature isn’t showing: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers
