Turn off hover and change box color

My buttons are currently black and then when you hover over them they become orange. Unfortunately, my font is also black so you can’t see it until you hover over it.
How do I change the button color orange permanently instead of having it black and then hover to orange?

Actually, instead of changing the box color, I would like to change the font color to white. Please let me know if you can help with that!
