Turn off image optimization

  Hi,
  can someone please tell me how to turn off image optimization?
  I have a photo blog and whenever I upload a photo it becomes greyer and faded and loses its vibrancy after it’s ‘optimize’.
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Great! The best approach is to optimize and resize the image prior to uploading it. :)

  yea. I’m trying to do that in iphoto but am finding it hard.
  Any tips on how to optimize it there? Also, what’s the recommended size for WordPress? My understanding is that it’s a width of 468.
