Turn off login to comment?

  Hi, I don’t want people to have to login before their comment is placed. I found the checkbox ” people have to login to comment” (settings->discussions) I tuned that off but it still wants people to login before the comment is placed. What am I missing??? My father for example doesn’t have social media or email… So he can’t comment :(((

  If he has no email address the only way that he can comment is to spoof one, like (email visible only to moderators and staff). To just make up an email address.

  I just found out that if you don’t fill out an email address at all, and just click “Send comment”, the comment is posted / ready to be moderated. So email is optional and if you just leave it blank, you wouldn’t get a login :)

  @raicoaster Your answer is correct also. You can also spoof an email address. So it works! Thanks for your reply!
