TURN OFF ON-SCREEN MESSAGE
-
I want to turn off the message “Only secure content is displayed” please, how do I do it?
I have no access to a tab called plug-ins or one called Jet pack.
I can not see any sign of Jet pack on in my free wordpress.com accountThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The same problem with the following thread:

You will not have access to plug-ins on a WordPress.com blog. Jetpack is a plug-in built to replicate features built into all WordPress.com blogs.
http://wspreader.wordpress.com/ is a WordPress.com blog. It will never have plug-ins.

My apologies, I think I must be thick, but the above remarks although welcome, don’t mean anything to me.
I’ve been using WordPress for several years but it only fairly recently that this unwelcome message keeps appearing.
I’ve explored a number of other forums about this problem and they all go over my head, I’m afraid.
All I want to do is to turn off the message, and if I can’t turn it off, because it is such a nuisance, I’d be happy to switch to Blogger.
So how do I switch it off please?Best wishes
Peter

What browser and version are you using? Internet Explorer 9 or 10, Chrome 27, Firefox 21, etc?
Are you trying to browse your WordPress.com site or the Admin Dashboard in secure browser mode (HTTPS)?

And you say you have been using WordPress.com for several years, but per your profile linked to your username you’ve only had this account for 3 days.
Do we assume therefore that you have other accounts/sites? If so, are those also affected or only wspreader.wordpress.com ?
