Turn off or FIX domain

  I wanted to renew my domain but all the help articles took me in circles. So I purchased it elsewhere thinking I just needed to purchase it again and come back here to update. But none of the articles for that are helping me either. I either want to get rid of the domain mapping upgrade so I can just forward my domain to the wordpress.com address -OR- I want to be able to register the nameserver (my host requires an **IP address** to do this).

  Hi miamomia,

  I see you had banindifference.com registered through us, but it expired, and you subsequently re-registered it elsewhere.

  From here, you will need to purchase domain mapping and then point your domain to WordPress.com by logging into your domain registrar and updating your nameservers.

  I would not like to pay an additional charge on top of having purchased my domain. I would like to turn off domain mapping. How can I get rid of this service?

  Hi miamomia,

  If you wish to use the domain for a site on WordPress.com, you will need the mapping. If not, there’s nothing else you need to do on our end.
