Turned off "likes", but still getting them.

    Hello,

I had switched off “likes”, “comments”, etc., for my entire blog sometime ago, but I still seem to be getting “likes” for my blog posts. I am not really bothered by this, but just curious as to why this is happening.

    My blog: https://dilipnair.com

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

To Turn Likes Off on Specific Posts or Pages

To show or hide Likes for an individual post or page, edit the post or page and then find the Sharing module on the left hand side and uncheck the show like button.

You can read more details over here:

    Add a Like Button

    Thanks.

Hi there, that is interesting. Are the “Likes” on recent posts or old posts?

Once upon a time it was possible to Like a post directly in the WordPressdotcom Reader if someone was following it there, but I see that option is no longer available (I followed/unfollowed your site to check).

    Hello Jennifer,

Thanks for the reply. The “likes” I am talking about are all in recent posts. For the earlier posts, I had the “like” button enabled and I have left it as is. Never bothered to go back and turn them off.

Also, thanks for the link for direct support. Will use it in future if the need arises.

Reg the “likes” issue, I think the topic can be closed because as I mentioned earlier. I am not really troubled by it. Really appreciate the help though! :)
