Turning Blog Domain into Website

  I currently have a domain set up on wordpress for my blog. I want to now use it for my website, but want to be able to create my website in a testing environment before making it visible to the public, without affecting the existence of the blog. Is there a way to do this without causing the blog to temporarily disappear?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I highly recommend setting up a second blog as a test blog. Set it up just like your current blog and then use it to test out features before implementing them on your live blog. You can set the test blog to be private so only you can see it.
