turning of comments for specific pages

  I’m trying to edit my “schedule” page to not give the option to comment. discussion is unchecked under screen options yet the page still allows for comments. Does anyone know how to fix this? I only want comments to be active on my actual blog posts and no other pages. I am using the twentyten theme.

  You can check out the comments options for your pages here.

  Snippet about enable/disable comments for pages already published:

  To change the comment settings for a post or page you already published, first locate the post/page you want to edit on the Posts or Pages page on your WordPress.com site’s dashboard and click on its title.

  Then, locate the Discussion module on the edit screen, and either check or uncheck the options it offers:

  I’ve already done this and both discussion and comments are unchecked so I don’t understand why it is still allowing comments.
