Turning off comments on regular web pages

    Hi, I’ve just built a simple site (my first) at https//swinburnes.wordpress.com. It is to keep family etc updates whilst we are on a trip on a boat. Can I stop users from writing comments on regular pages (keeping them to commenting on the blog). Or do I need to upgrade. If I need to upgrade, can that be with WordPress or do I need a third party hosting company?
