Turning Off Site Feed/Pings

  I want to go back in and edit some old posts and add categories, but I don’t want everything re-publishing and pinging Bloglines and Google each time. How can I turn off the feed or ping services? At Blogger and TypePad you could just check or uncheck a little box and then turn it back on later.

  With the downloaded version of wordpress you have the option of putting in the ping services you want and don’t want. At wordpress.com, this option isn’t there I am afraid.
