Twenty Eleven: Change header image

  Hi!

  I’m new on wordpress and have just started my blog.

  I want to customize it as much as I can without paying for it (for now anyway).

  I chose the theme Twenty eleven because I read that I can customize it a lot.

  But I cant change header image. Twenty eleven is on the list that can change headers but in Apperance I can’t find header – just background?

  It would be nice to change it but I don’t know where and how, I really want to get started so I’m hoping for help.

  In the original Twenty Eleven theme the pictures change – can I do that with my one photos also?

  I’m grateful for your help!

  Is this the site you are talking about, http://alaemmeli.wordpress.com/ ?

  Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. “Header” should be right below “Background” in the Appearance section.

  Yes, it’s the site – I tought it was private – since I’m just testing things… I have used Blogger before.

  It is private. I can’t see the site, but the URL is linked to your username.

  OK. :)

  I’m sorry to say – it didn’t work. :-/
  I cleared my browser cache and cookies, restarted as you said but I still can’t se the header under the Apperance Section :(.

  odd, cause I just changed my images easily – using the APPEARANCE -> HEADER links. Sorry no further suggestions

  I don’t know about the image but you can at least change the text. Its on the settings section and the first one “main” or what it’s called in english (I use the swedish one myself).

  Yes you can but to do that. You will need to purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and do the required CSS editing.

  You can change the Tagline at any time here at the top of the page > Setting > General > Tagline and don’t forget to click “save changes” when you are done.
