Twenty Eleven |Help with showcase page

  Hello,

  I am using the showcase template of Twenty Eleven for my landing page.
  If you look at the showcase template in the theme demo here https://twentyelevendemo.wordpress.com/showcase/ you can see that most recent posts where comments are closed appear with a “comments off” tag.

  In my landing page, though, posts with comments off are still showing up with a “answer” (Rispondi) link, that, once clicked, takes you to the following: “http://evegreene.net/…/#respond” where of course the comments are then disabled.

  Am I missing something obvious and is there a way to fix that?

  Update:

  nevermind, I found out that you also need to disable pings in order to have the “comments off” tag.

  My question then would be, can this be hidden alltogheter?

  I found no comment links, either “on” or “off,” on your homepage or one your four most recent posts. Also, I was unable to find a page on your site comparable to the “showcase” page in the demo that you link to above. http://evegreene.net/showcase doesn’t exist.

  Did you get this sorted out? I’m not seeing “Rispondi” nor anything that looks like “Comments off” on your homepage (which is running the Showcase template) any longer.

  Could you provide a link to any page or post where you’re still seeing “Comments off” and let me know what the Italian wording says? Thanks.

  Hello, and that you both for your help: I figured this out by myself and got rid of any comments indication, but then I had to go offline and didn’t manage to update this thread.
