twenty eleven on iPad: no widgets at the side or mobile view

    With theme Twenty Eleven, the iPad “standard view” (not Swipe) is neither the “Full site” as seen on a traditional computer nor the “mobile view” as seen on a phone: widget sidebars are displayed at the bottom, not at the side, but the posts are in full (not summaries as in mobile view) and so the only way to see my link widgets is a long scroll to the bottom.

    Is there, or could the be the option of having an iPad display exactly the same as on a traditional computer?
    Or of using the mobile view on an iPad?
    Or of Twenty Eleven on iPad being more like Twenty Ten, in respecting widget placements.
    Or of having posts appear as summaries on the main page?
