Twenty Eleven Post formats & Showcase Questions
-
Last CSS questions, I think :)
I saw a Child Theme for TwentyEleven called Hum. It’s comprised solely of CSS tweaks. The guy who created it is using it for his site currently: http://darylkoop.com/
I like the Child Theme well enough, but I’m too in love with my seamless background to use it ;) I do have a couple questions, though, for starters, how can I make my quotes like his quotes? (Large, pretty, proper Tumblr-ish attribution, no title…) See here: http://darylkoop.com/2011/11/07/the-general-problem/
And how do I remove the title from Image posts as well?
Finally, if I ultimately decide that I want to go with the showcase template, is it possible to have the posts display as they would without showcase (fully, sans showcase sidebar)?
I do like showcase because of the ability to add a brief note at the top and the featured posts but I’ve never been a fan of the showcase sidebar, I really like my post formats… and I like them fully visible. :)
Thanks!

You can use the same CSS he does. Here’s a copy of the part that styles posts that are setup with the “Quote” format:
.format-quote blockquote { font-family: "Baskerville", "Baskerville Old Face", "Hoefler Text", "Garamond", "Palatino", "URW Palladio L", "Book Antiqua", Georgia, serif; color: #333; font-size: 2.2em; line-height: 1.4em; } .format-quote blockquote p { margin-bottom: 0.75em; } .format-quote cite { display: block; text-align: right; margin: 1em 0 0; color: #999; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 0.3em; word-spacing: 0.2em; line-height: 2.6em; text-transform: uppercase; font-style: normal; }
