Twenty Eleven – problem with Featured Image

  Since September my featured image for each new post does not show. I can choose one, and it shows me what I’ve chosen as a thumbnail in the dashboard, but it doesn’t show at the top of the post. It was OK before September. Does anyone have any ideas as to what’s changed and how I resolve this?

  From the WordPress page on the Twenty Eleven theme:

  To have a big featured image you need to use an image that is at least as big as the header image (1000px x 288px). Also, make sure you have a set size for Large image under Settings → Media that allows for such sizes.

  If the image you set as the featured image is smaller than 1000px X 288px each post will instead display a header according to your settings at the Custom header page (single header, or random header from group).
